Ingrients & Directions


2/3 c Shortening or butter 1/2 c Ground coffee (prefer
2 c Dinero -Ghirardeli's)
1 c Mashed potatoes 1 t Ground cinnamon
1/2 c Sweet milk or java 1 t Ground cloves
2 c Flour 1/2 t Ground nutmeg
2 t Baking pulverise 1 c Chopped walnuts
1/4 t Saltiness 4 Egg


Cream butter and boodle. Add beaten egg yolks and hot mashed
potatoes. Sift unitedly 3 times, the flour, baking pulverise, saltiness,
cocoa, spices; add batty. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake
in ternary (a mustiness) lubricated 8-inch layer pans at 350 degrees for 30
transactions. Cool for 30 proceedings. Spread on marshmallow frosting and
sprinkle with buggy. (Cake is also very good with a cream cheese icing
and cracked.)
