Almond Butter Coffee Cake



Ingrients & Directions


1/4 c Dough 1 Egg
1/4 ts Saltiness 3 1/2 c Sifted flour
1/4 c Shortening 1/16 ts Mace
1 c Milk, scalded 1/16 ts Cardamom
1/2 Yeast patty


Add cabbage, salt and shortening to milk and cool to tepid. Add
crumbled yeast and let standpoint 5 transactions. Add egg and 1 3/4 cups
flour; beat good. Add remaining flour sifted with spices; then knead
good. Let rise until doubled in volume, approximately 1 1/2 hours. Knead down
and let rise besides. Shape into 2 coffee cakes and place in greased
pans. Let upgrade 15 transactions. Spread almond mixture on top and let rise
until doubled in bulge. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 45 minutes.
