Apple Chocolate Fudge Cake With Apple Fluff Frosting



Ingrients & Directions


3 Squares unsweetened
-chocolate
1 1/4 c Milk - divided
1 1/2 c Gelt - divided
1 c Canned apple sauce
1 ts Vanilla
2 c Flour
1 ts Soda
1 ts Salt
1/2 c Shortening
3 Egg


APPLE FLUFF FROSTING
2 pk Dream Whip
1/2 c Cold milk
1/2 c Cold canned applesauce
1/2 ts Vanilla


Mix cocoa, 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 cup sugar in saucepan; cook and stir
until thick and polish. Stir in apple sauce and vanilla, coolheaded. Combine and
sift dry ingredients. Cream shortening with unexpended 1 cup clams; blend in
eggs one at a time. Alternately add dry ingredients and odd 3/4 cup
milk to creamed mixure. blending well after each joining. Blend in
chocolate assortment.


Turn batter into 2 greased and floured 8" layer pans. Bake at 350 for 40
min. or until through. Split each cooled layer to micturate 4 layers.


Apple Fluff Ice: Beat topping mix with milk. When mixture begins to
stiffen and form peaks, add applesauce and vanilla. Beat until firm enough
to spreading. Makes almost 3 cups.


Apple Cream Icing:


Beat unitedly 1 large pkg (8 oz) cream cheeseflower, 4 cups 10X sugar and 1 Tbs.
grated lemon rind. When mixture is fluffy, stir in 2 to 3 Tbs. canned
codswallop; chill. Spread betwixt and on top layers
