
1 1/2 c All purpose flour
1 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
1/4 ts Ground nutmeg
1/2 c Low-fat buttermilk
1/2 c Applesauce
1 tb Butter or stick oleomargarine;

1 lg Egg
1 lg Egg white
Cooking spray
1/3 c Chopped pecans
1/3 c All purpose flour
1/4 c Packed brown sugar
2 ts Butter or stick oleo;

1/2 ts Ground cinnamon
1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cups; level with a tongue.
Combine flour and succeeding 4 ingredients (flour through nutmeg) in a
large trough; make a well in center of assortment. Combine buttermilk,
wish-wash, 1 tablespoon butter, egg, and egg white in a stadium; add to
flour assortment, stirring just until damp.
3. Spoon batter into a 9-inch round cake pan coated with cooking
spraying. Combine pecans and remaining ingredients in small bowlful; stir
with a fork until mixture resembles coarse repast. Sprinkle evenly over
top of bar. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes or until a wooden pick
inserted it center comes out neat. Issue: 8 servings.
