
1 c Unsalted butter; room

1 1/2 c Sugar
4 lg Egg; room temperature
1/4 c Aquavit
2 tb Caraway seeds
1 ts Vanilla extract
1/2 ts Grated lemon peel
2 c Sifted all purpose flour
1 1/4 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Saltiness
Position rack in center of oven and preheat to 350F. Lightly butter
9x5x3-inch loaf pan. Line pan with parchment wallpaper. Butter paper and
dust with flour.
Using electric social, measure 1 cup butter in large bowl until spark.
Gradually add sugar and beat until smooth and fluffy. Add egg 1 at a
time, beating after each addition until just combined. Beat in
aquavit, caraway, vanilla extract and lemon unclothe. Combine flour,
baking powder and salt in medium roll. Sift dry ingredients over
dinge. Blend wellspring, using rubber spatula.
Transfer batter to prepared pan. Bake cake until deep-golden-brown
crust forms and tester inserted into center comes out cleanse, around 1
hr 20 proceedings. Transfer to rack and coolheaded 10 transactions. Turn out cake
onto wheel, remove parchment paper and cool wholly. Wrap tightly
in foil and let stand at room temperature overnight. (Can be prepared
2 days ahead. Store at board temperature.)
