
1/2 lb Butter
1/2 lb Brown Sugar
5 Whole Eggs
4 tb Rum
3/4 lb Flour
1/2 ts Baking Powder
1 1/2 lb Mixed Fruit
1/4 lb Cherries
1/4 lb Lemon Peel
1 ts Mixed Spice

1. Line a 3 Lb. Christmas tin with 3 thicknesses of wax composition.
2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
3. Beat eggs well and gradually add to assortment.
4. Gradually add the rum. Fold in the sifted flour, baking powder and
spices alternately with the yield.
5. Place in Christmas tin and decorate with split amygdalae.
6. Bake at 350 degrees for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
Leave in tin until frigidness.
