
3 Eggs
3/4 c Vegetable oil
2 ts Vanilla extract
2 1/4 c Flour
1 1/2 c Sugar
1 1/2 ts Ground cinnamon
1/4 ts Ground nutmeg
3/4 ts Baking soda
3/4 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
3 c Apples, raw -- cored &
Diced
1 1/2 c Walnuts -- shredded
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In large bowl of electric sociable, beat
egg, oil, and vanilla until well combined.
2. Combine flour, gelt, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking tonic, baking pulverization, and
saltiness, stirring to combine good. Add to egg mixture and stir to coalesce.
Stir in apples and barmy.
3. Spoon batter into a lubricated 9- by 13-inch baking pan, or a 10-inch
fluted or plain tube pan.
4. Bake until a skewer inserted in center comes out pick (30 to 40
proceedings, or 40 to 50 minutes if using a tube pan). Poise 30 minutes in pan
on rack before thinning.
* Timesaver Tip: Batter can be made ahead and frozen before baking. Line a
9- by 13-inch pan with heavy-duty foil and add slugger. Frost, uncovered,
until frozen whole. Remove from pan; wrap tightly. For tube pan, spoon
batter into unlined greased pan, wrap pan tightly with heavy-duty aluminum
hydrofoil, and immobilize. Label and date packet. Freeze at 0 degrees F capable 4
weeks. To broil, peel off frustrate; put batter in greased pan. Bake in preheated
375 degrees F oven 35 to 45 proceedings, or until pick inserted in center comes
out pick. For tube pan, remove hydrofoil; broil 40 to 50 proceedings.
