Banana Nut Layer Cake



Ingrients & Directions


1/2 c Shortening 2 c All-purpose flour
2 c Gelt 1 ts Baking soda
1 ea Egg -- positive 1 ts Salt
1 ea Egg whiteness 1 ts Vanilla extract
1 c Buttermilk 1/2 c Walnuts -- chopped
1 c Banana -- smashed mature


WEFT:
1/4 c Butter or oleomargarine 1 ea Egg yolk
1/2 c Packed brown gelt 1 ts Vanilla extract
1/4 c All-purpose flour 1/2 c Shredded -- walnuts
pn Saltiness Confectioners' sugar
3/4 c Milk


In a mixing roll, cream shortening and dough. Beat in egg and egg
whiteness. Add buttermilk and bananas; mix good. Combine flour, baking
soda and saltiness; stir into the creamed assortment. Add vanilla and buggy.
Pour into two greased and floured 9-in, round baking pans. Bake at
350 deg. for 35 minutes or until cakes test through. Cool in pans 10
minutes before removing to a wire torture. For woof, melt butter and
brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heating. In a small stadium, combine
flour and salt with a small amount of milk; stir until tranquil. Add
the remaining milk gradually. Add egg yolk and mix swell; stir into
saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until very thick, almost 10
minutes add vanilla and buggy. Sang-froid. Spread between cake layers Dust
with confectioners' boodle. Quiver. Store in the refrigerator. Kike:
