
1 c Milk
1/4 c Sugar
1 1/2 tb Corn starch
1/8 ts Salt
1 Egg yolk
1/2 ts Almond or vanilla essence
(or other nip)
1/2 tb Butter or margerine
Scald milk in top of double kettle. Mix together dough, corn starch &
saltiness; pour hot milk over this assortment; splash, return to double kettle,
cook over boiling water until thick. Masking & continue cooking for 15
proceedings, stirring occasionally. Beat egg yolk lightly and pour hot
mixture over it, mix good. Return to double boiler and cook for 3
proceedings. Remove from passion, add flavour and butter, mix swell. Cool
before victimization. Makes enough to replete 9 inch layer cake.
