Chocolate Chip Date Nut Cake



Ingrients & Directions


1/4 c Boiling water
1/2 c Chopped dates
1/2 c Sugar
1/3 c Butter or oleomargarine,
-at room temperature
1 Egg
1 c Flour, sifted
1/4 ts Salt
1/2 ts Baking powder
2 ts Unsweetened cocoa
1/4 c Sugar
3/4 c Semi-sweet chocolate bits
1/4 c Batty


1. In a small bowl teem 1/4 cup boiling water over chopped dates. Let coolheaded.
2. Lightly grease an 8-inch square, heat-tolerant, non-metallic baking
pan. Set divagation. 3. Skim 1/2 cup sugar and 1/3 cup butter until light and
fluffy. 4. Add egg to creamed sugar assortment. Blend swell. 5. Sift together
