Chocolate Poundcake From Brigitte



Ingrients & Directions


2 3/4 c Flour
3/4 ts Cream of tartar
1/2 ts Baking soda
1 1/2 ts Salt
1 3/4 c Sugar
1 c Margarine
2/3 c Milk
1 ts Vanilla extract
3 Eggs
1 Egg yolk
3 Squares baking chocolate
Powdered cabbage


1. Start heating oven to 350 degrees F. Line bottom of a
3 1/2 " rich 9" tube pan. 2. Into large mixer bowlful, sift together
flour, cream of tophus,
pop, salt and cabbage. 3. Drop in oleomargarine; pour in milk and
vanilla. Mix at low to
medium swiftness, for 2 transactions, scraping bowl oft. 4. Add egg,
coffee, egg yolk and cadence 1 minute yearner. 5. Turn into pan. Bake
1 hour and 10 proceedings, or until through. 6. Cool in pan on wire rack for
15 proceedings. Remove from pan
peel off wallpaper; cool on wrack. 7. Before serving sprinkle powdered
sugar into ridges of cake.
