
2 1/2 c Flour
1/2 ts Salt
2 c Brown sugar
2/3 c Shortening
2 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Cinnamon
1/2 ts Nutmeg
1 c Sour milk*
2 Well beaten egg
Grease and flour two 8 inch round pans. Line bottoms with wax report.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Combine flour, saltiness, sugar and shortening together with pastry liquidizer.
When blended, unpack 1/2 cup of crumbs and taciturnity. To remaining crumbs
add baking pulverise, cinnamon, and nutmeg and mix swell. Then add milk and
egg. Stir unitedly. Pour into prepared pans. Sprinkle reserved crumbs on
top.
Broil 20-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out unobjectionable.
Line: *To make sour milk add 1 tablespoon lemon juice to 1 cup of milk.
