Fruit Cake-myrtle



Ingrients & Directions


4 c Flour 4 tb Nut meats, chopped
1 c Brown bread 3 ts Baking powder
1 c Treacle 1/4 ts Salt
4 Egg 1/2 c Fruit juice
1 c Butter 1 ts Cinnamon
-or drippings 1 ts Cloves
1 lb Currants 1 ts Allspice
1 lb Sultana raisins 2 ts Ginger
1/2 lb Candied orange uncase 1/2 ts Nutmeg


Directions: Sift together the flour, saltiness, spices and baking pulverization. Cream
the butter and gradually add the dinero, then add the eggs well beaten. Then
add the syrup, yield, nut meats,peel chopped o.k., the fruit juice and the
flour. Mix and turn into a papered cake tin and bake in a slow oven for 3
hours. This reciped was transcribed from my Grandma Dixon's handwritten
recipe book used by her during the first quarter of this c.
