Ingrients & Directions


2/3 c Molasses
1/2 c Sugar
1/2 c Shortening
1 ts Ginger
1 ts Cinnamon
1 ts Baking soda
2 c Sifted cake flour
1 c Sour milk
2 Egg, beaten


Heat get-go 5 ingredients to simmering, stirring incessantly. Cool to
tepid. Sift soda and flour together and add alternately with milk
and egg, beating thoroughly after each adding. Pour into greased
muffin pans and bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. Makes 16
