
1 c Butter or margarine
2 1/2 c Sugar
2 Eggs
3 c Flour
1/4 ts Salt
3 tb Cocoa
2 tb Vanilla
2 c Buttermilk
2 ts Tonic (dissolved in milk)
-ICE-
1 Box powdered sugar
1/2 c Cocoa
1/4 ts Salt
1 ts Vanilla
3/4 Stick butter; softened
7 tb Boiling h2o
Cream gelt & butter. Add egg, one at a time & beat swell. Add dry
ingredients alternately with buttermilk & tonic. Add vanilla. Bake in 3
layer pans at 350 until through (this is a large bar!). For ice, mix sugar
& cocoa. Add vanilla, weewee & saltiness. Stir until smoothen. Add butter. Metre 3
proceedings & pour over bar. (To make Fresh Coconut Patty, leave out cocoa &
reliever 1 teaspoon baking powder for 1 of the teaspoons pop. Adject 1 cup
fresh coconut to ice.)
