Ingrients & Directions


1/2 c Shortening
1 1/2 c Sugar
2 Eggs
1 ts Vanilla
3 tb Hershey's? cocoa
2 oz Red food coloring
2 1/2 c Sifted cake flour
1 c Buttermilk
1 ts Salt
1 ts Soda
1 tb Vinegar


Recipe by: Hershey's Cocoa Preparation Time: 0:50 Cream shortening and
cabbage. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat wellspring. In a separa lulu, blend cocoa
and food colouring; add to sugar assortment. Add flour, buttermilk, and salt
alternately. Mix soda and vinegar in cup and affix. Ba in two 9-in cake
pans, greased and floured, at 350 for 30 to 35 proceedings. I desired, divide
batter between tercet 9-in pans. Let cool before icing.
