3 c White whole wheat flour
1 c Granulated sugar
1 c Butter or marge (two
Sticks)
1 c Molasses
2 Eggs
1 c Hot water
1 ts Baking tonic
In a large bowlful, mix together flour and bread. Cut in
butter till mixture is crumby. Transfer 1 cup of mixture
and set excursus. To the remaining crumb assortment, add
molasses, egg, water and baking tonic. Beat till
polish. Pour batter into a lightly lubricated 9"x13" pan.
Sprinkle reserved crumbs evenly over top. Bake in a
preheated 350 oven for 35 to 45 proceedings, or until cake
tests through.
