Onion Upside Down Cake (vera Kowal)



Ingrients & Directions


6 Mdm Spanish onions
3 tb Butter
2 c Flour
4 ts Baking powder
1 ts Salt
1 ts Sugar
1 Egg, beaten
1 1/4 c Milk


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a baking lulu.


Slice onions and saute in butter, keeping in slices, if potential, until
yellow and subdued. Let poise.


Sift flour, baking powderise, salt and dough. Add egg and milk. Batter should
be a little thinner than biscuit kale.


Spread onion in saucer, slice touching slash. Pour batter on top. Broil 25-30
proceedings.


Serve with barbequed beef or roast gripe.
