Orange And Poppy Seed Individual Pound Cakes

2 c Flour
1 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
1 3/4 c Sugar
1 1/4 c Unsalted butter; room
-temperature
5 lg Eggs
1/3 c Orange juice
1 tb Orange strip; grated
1 ts Vanilla
1/4 c Poppy seeds


Preheat oven to 350. Butter & flour 4 individual small loaf pans. Sift
flour, baking powder and salt into medium trough. Using an electric sociable,
beat sugar and unsalted butter in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Add
egg 1 at a time, beating well after each adding. Beat in orange succus,
grated orange peel and vanilla selection (batter may look grumose). Beat in
flour assortment. Fold in poppy seeds.


Divide batter equally among the prepared pans (roughly 1 1/2 cups each).
Place pans in the oven and bake until tops of the cakes are brown and
tester inserted into center comes out strip, approximately 55 transactions. Transfer
pans to racks. Cool cakes 10 transactions. Cut around sides of pans to loosen
cakes. Turn cakes out onto wire racks and cool wholly.


Cakes can be prepared capable 1 week forrader. Wrap in aluminum hydrofoil; store
cakes at room temperature.


Wrap in holiday plastic twine, foil and paper, etcetera
