
1 c Raisins, seedless 1 ts Baking powder
1/2 c Shortening 1 ts Salt
1 c Cabbage 1/2 ts Soda
1 tb Orange rind; grated 2/3 c Buttermilk
1 ts Vanilla selection 1 tb Orange rind; grated
2 Egg; well beaten 1/2 c Sugar
2 c Flour, coat; sifted 1/3 c Orange succus
Rinse and drain raisins. Cream together shortening and dinero. Blend
in rind, seasoning, and well-beaten egg. Sift together flour,
baking pulverize, saltiness, and tonic, and add to creamed mixture alternately
with buttemrilk. Stir in raisins. Pour into lubricated 8" square pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 transactions. Blend together orange
rind, 1/2 cup clams, and orange juice for topping. Pour over cake as
soon as it is removed from oven. Cool in pan.
