Pear Cake (gateau Aux Poires Belle Helene)



Ingrients & Directions


3/4 c Butter or oleomargarine;
-softened
2 1/2 c Flour; all-purpose
1 c Sugar
1/2 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Baking soda
4 Squares baking coffee;
-unsweetened, melted
1 Egg
1 c Milk
1 cn Pear halves; rinsed and
-drained
1/3 c Pecan halves


Preheat the oven at 350F.


Using a lectric sociable, cream the butter. Add the flour et sugar et using
low speed mix swell, until the mix seems like sandpaper. substitute 1/3 cup of this
assortment.


Add to the remaining assortment, baking tonic, baking pulverisation, umber, the
egg and milk. Mix just to insure that everything is mix.


Spreading 1/3 of the chocolate mixture into a 9" spring pan, lubricated. Dispose
onto the mixture the pear in rope, the cut side fine-tune. Cover the prears
with the remainder of the chocolate mixtrue. Sprinkle the mixture the 1/3
cup mixture that was reserved and sprinkle over the pecans.


Bake for 70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle come out
unobjectionable
