
1 c Prunes
2 c Flour
3/4 c Sugar
3 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
1 ea Egg
1/2 c Milk
1/3 c Butter or shortening
1 ts Cinnamon
2 tb Brown sugar
3 tb Butter, liquid
Soak prunes in just enough warm water to covering; set away. Mix and
sift all dry ingredients. In a separate trough, beat egg until light
and fluffy. Stir in milk and melted butter. Gradually add this
liquid to flour mixture and combine good. Turn into lightly
oiled 8-inch square baking saucer. Cut soaked prunes into pieces and
press down into boodle. Combine cinnamon, brown sugar and melted
butter. Spread over prunes. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 proceedings.
