
BROWNIE LAYERS
1/4 c Unsweetened cocoa powder
3 tb Water
1 lg Egg
1 ts Vanilla
1/2 c Butter or marge; not
-gap, softened
1 c Sugar
1 1/3 c Flour
3 pt Coffee ice bat; slightly
-softened

Have quick 1 cookie sheets and an 8-inch pan. Trace an 8-inch circle on
waxed wallpaper, using springform pan as a scout. Place on a stack of 6 more
pieces waxed report. Using traced circle as a draw, cut through all sheets,
giving you 7 waxed paper rounds.
Heat oven to 375?.
Brownie Layers: Whisk cocoa, weewee, egg and vanila in a small bowl until
polish. In a large bowl beat butter and sugar until pale and fluffy, about
3 transactions. Beat in cocoa assortment (batter may look grumous). On low swiftness,
gradually add flour, beating until well blended (batter will be very
cockeyed).
Spread waxed paper rounds out on countertop. Drop story 1/3 cup batter in
center of each. Divide remaining batter between rounds. (around 2 tsp each).
Moisten a cookie sheet with h2o. Situation 2 rounds on rag (water keeps
rounds from slithering). Spread batter almost to edges of rounds.
Bake until surface looks dry and set but is slightly springy to the hint,
astir 8 proceedings. (While the first batch bakes, spread batter for the succeeding 2
layers on the second cookie rag).
Cool layers on cookie sheet on wire wrack 3 proceedings. Transfer on waxed
wallpaper, to wire stand. Let cool all. Bake and cook remaining layers.
To foregather: Line springform pan with plastic wrapper, letting enough wrap
extend above sides of pan to cover top when filled. Peel waxed paper off
cooled brownie layers. Position 1 layer in bottom of pan. Spread evenly with 1
cup ice ointment. Top with another brownie level, then add another cup of ice
ointment, ending with a brownie layer on top. Fold plastic wrap over top.
Freeze leastwise 8 hours, or wrap airtight and freeze capable 1 month.
To service: Remove pan sides; peel plastic wrap off sides. Lift cake off
plastic wrap onto a serving scale. Garnish with whipped cream and toffy.
Refrigerate about 20 minutes earlier serving.
