2 1/4 c All-purpose flour
1 2/3 c Sugar
2/3 c Shortening
1 1/4 c Milk
3 1/2 ts Baking powder
1 ts Salt
1 ts Almond extract or vanilla
5 Egg whites
Heat oven to 325 degrees. Beat flour, boodle, shortening, milk, baking
powderise, salt and almond extract in large bowl on medium velocity, scraping
bowl forever, until blended, 30 seconds. Beat on high upper, scraping
bowl occasionally, 2 transactions. Beat in egg whites on high velocity, scraping
bowl occasionally, 2 minutes. Bake and nerveless layers as directed.
