3/4 c Whole unblanched tonsils;

1 c Pitted prunes; coarsely

1/2 c Firmly packed dark brown

1/4 c Unsalted butter; (1/2 amaze)
1/4 c Whipping cream
1 ts Instant coffee granules
Orange slices; (optional)

For coat:
Position rack in center of oven and preheat to 350F. Generously butter
10-edge (12-cup) tube pan. Sprinkle half of almonds into pan. Tilt to coat
bottom and halfway up sides with cracked (do not tap out nimiety). Combine
buttermilk, instant java, vanilla and almond extracts in small trough. Stir
until coffee dissolves. Sift flour, baking powderize, baking pop, cinnamon,
salt and ground cloves into medium trough.
Using electric social, cream butter and sugar in large bowl until light and
fluffy. Add egg 1 at a time, beating well after each improver. Slowly mix
in dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk assortment, beginning and
ending with dry ingredients. Mix in prunes and orange unclothe. Pour batter
into prepared pan. Sprinkle with remaining tonsils. Bake until tester
inserted into center of cake comes out pick, almost 50 transactions. Nerveless 30
minutes in pan on stand. Turn cake out onto single-foot. Quickly turn upright onto
platter and cool until just tender.
For glass:
Combine brown clams, butter and cream in heavy small saucepan. Stir over
medium-high heat until butter melts. Roil 2 proceedings. Mix in instant coffee
granules. Cool slimly. Drizzle glaze over cake.
Garnish cake with orange slices and cinnamon stick if desired and serve
warm or at board temperature.
