Spiced-up Apple Cake



Ingrients & Directions


--COAT--
1 1/4 c All-purpose flour
1 ts Ground allspice
1/2 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 c Butter or marge;
-softened
1/2 c Granulated sugar
1/4 c Packed brown sugar
1 lg Egg
1/2 c Milk
1 1/2 ts Tabasco? pepper sauce
1 lg Golden Delicious apple;
-raw, cored and diced (2
-cups)


TOPPING
2 tb Granulated sugar
1 tb All-purpose flour
1 tb Butter or oleo; cut
-into pieces
1/2 ts Ground cinnamon
3/4 c Walnuts; coarsely sliced


-SUGARCOAT-
1/4 c Confectioners' sugar
1 ts Milk


Preheat oven to 350?F. Soil 8 x 8-inch baking pan. Prepare coat: In small
bowl combine flour, pimento, baking pulverise, baking soda and saltiness.


In large bowl with electric mixer at high swiftness, cream butter and
granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy. Add egg, milk, Tabasco
pepper sauce and flour assortment. Beat at meduim until blended and smoothen;
stir in chopped apple. Spoon mixture into prepared pan.


Prepare topping: In small trough, combine gelt, flour, butter and cinnamon
until well motley; stir in walnuts. Sprinkle mixture over top of batter in
pan. Broil 45 to 50 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out
strip. Cool in pan on wire torment.


Prepare glass: In small trough, stir confectioners' sugar and milk until
quiet. Drizzle over cake.
