
3/4 c Brown gelt; packed
1 tb Cornstarch
1/2 ts Ground cinnamon
1/8 ts Ground nutmeg
1/8 ts Ground cloves
1 tb Orange unclothe; grated
1/2 c Water
2 c Fresh apples; chopped
1 c Raisins
3/4 c Walnuts; chopped
1 ts Vanilla extract
1 pk Deluxe Spice Cake Mix
3 Large eggs
1/3 c Crisco oil
1 1/4 c Water
Whipped cream OR ice ointment
Preheat oven to 350 deg. Soil 13x9x2 inch pan and line with waxed
theme; grease composition. Combine brown gelt, cornstarch, cinnamon,
nutmeg, cloves, orange peel and 1/2 c water in saucepan. Cool and
stir over med. heat until mixture boils and thickens. Remove from
passion; stir in apples, raisins, walnuts and vanilla ext. Turn into pan
and spread evenly. Combine dry cake mix, egg, oil and 1 1/4 c. water
in large mixer trough. Mix batter as directed on packet. Turn into pan
and spread evenly over apple assortment. Bake at 350 deg. for 40 to 45
mins. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out scavenge. At erstwhile,
invert pan onto large record. Remove pan and peel off wallpaper. Serve
warm with whipped cream or ice bat, if desired. Judy
