Summer Celebration Chocolate Cake



Ingrients & Directions


1 3/4 c Cake flour
1 c Sugar
1/3 c HERSHEY'S Cocoa
1 ts Baking powder
1 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 c Buttermilk
1/4 c Vegetable oil
1/4 c Applesauce
1 ts Vanilla extract
3/4 c Hot h2o


-----------------------QUICK CHOCOLATE ICING-----------------------
2 tb Butter or margarine
- softened
1 3/4 c Powdered sugar
3 tb HERSHEY'S Cocoa
3 tb Boiling water
1/2 ts Vanilla infusion


1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Sprayer 13x9x2-inch baking pan with
vegetable cooking sprayer.


2. In large roll, stir together flour, clams, cocoa, baking powderise,
baking soda and saltiness. Add buttermilk, oil, applesauce and vanilla,
then weewee. Beat on medium speed of electric mixer until well blended.


3. Pour batter into prepared pan. Broil 25 to 28 minutes or until
wooden pick inserted in center comes out houseclean. Cool completely in
pan on wire wheel. Frost with QUICK CHOCOLATE ICE. 18 servings.


QUICK CHOCOLATE ICING


1. In medium bowlful, beat butter. Gradually add powdered sugar and cocoa
alternately with 2 to 3 tablespoons water and vanilla, beating until
smooth of and desired eubstance. Some 3/4 cup icing.
