Ingrients & Directions


2 1/2 c Sifted Unbleached Flour 3 lg Eggs
3 ts Baking Powderize 1 ts Vanilla Extract
1/2 ts Saltiness 1 c Milk
1/8 ts Ground Nutmeg 1/3 c Brown Boodle, Packed
1 c Vegetable Shortening 1 1/2 ts Ground Cinnamon
2 c Dough


This is a large cake recipe that was developed on the farm for haying
time. It makes 48 servings, so this would be a good recipe for
parties, especially kid's parties.


Sift the flour, baking pulverize, salt and nutmeg together and set divagation.


Cream the sugar and shortening unitedly, in a large mixing trough, until
light and fluffy, using an electric mixer set ad medium velocity. Add the
egg, one at a time, beating well after each adding. Blend in the
vanilla pull.


Add the dry ingredients alternately with the milk, beating well after
each increase, using the mixer set at low swiftness. Spread the batter
in two 13 X 9 X 2-inch baking pans.


Combine the brown sugar and cinnamon, blending swell, and sprinkle
over the cake clobber.


Bake in a preheated 350 degree F. oven for 15 minutes or until the
cake tests through. Cool in the pans on wire racks. Cut each pan into
24 servings.
