
DRY INGREDIENTS
1 c Soy flour
1 1/2 c All-purpose flour
1 c Sugar
3 tb Cocoa
1/2 ts Salt
1 ts Tonic
WET INGREDIENTS
1 ts Vanilla
1/3 c Oil; plus
2 tb Oil; preferably
-soyoil
1 tb Vinegar
1 c Lukewarm water
Icing; optional
Stir together the dry ingredients into an unlubricated 8" x 8" or 9" x 9" pan.
Make three holes in sifted ingredients. Put vanilla in the first fix,
cooking oil in the second hole and vinegar in the third fix. Stream 1 cup
lukewarm water over the whole thing. Stir well with a branch. Broil 30 to 35
minutes at 350 degrees F or until top springs back when touched slimly.
